These settings seem to give an almost-locked 30fps, with some slowdown in cutscenes. I have not made it out of Mordor yet, so can't comment on performance after that.
Proton GE is necessary for the startup videos and one part of the introductory sequence to work properly. Without it they will just be black screens with sound and subtitles.
